Can you fly a jet on a shoestring?

 

The answer is yes: if you're a client that needs a high-impact video, AMP uses amazing powers of location-sourcing/costume-creation/special effects/stunt men (and women)-casting to deliver a powerful video to your audience. That's what CiCi's Pizza turned to us for: a series of videos that would WOW their general managers at their quarterly meetings. And, since the culture of CiCi's Pizza is one that knows the value of a dollar, they looked to AMP to stretch the budget with creative solutions. View video

 

We were up to the challenge! In short order, we were able to put their CEO behind the controls of a jet for a high-octane hour of cloud-chasing. Finding a privately owned fighter-style jet is not an easy task, but we located one that, for not much more than the price of jet fuel, gave this CEO the ride of his life. The bulk of the video was shot on small format HVX-200s in HD, but for the in-flight footage, we used the standard definition cameras that were hard-mounted inside the jet. We also hired a follow plane, which allowed us to get footage of the CEO's jet in flight. The resulting video delivered the WOW that our clients were looking for, and their CEO had the experience of a lifetime.

 

Over the course of the next few months, we produced CiCi's videos that included BMX stunt bikers, roller coasters, extreme skate boarding, sky diving, a rock concert, and motocross. Every one of them has stretched our ability to delivery high impact on a budget--and boy does it feel good to stretch! It's been a wild ride and we can't wait for what's next.
